Software Engineer II

Overview

Develop digital wallet solutions and provide high-quality deliverables within budget, scope and time constraints. Provide technical guidance on automation and non-functional testing while sharing knowledge with automation and support teams.

What you'll do

• Develop digital wallet solutions that provide a simple and secure shopping experience to consumers.
• Provide high-quality deliverables within the constraints of budget, scope and time.
• Develop test automation frameworks, scripts and tests for front-end and backend services and applications.
• Provide technical guidance to the team on automation and non-functional test aspects.
• Share knowledge and skills with Automation team members and other support teams.
• Grow knowledge of other technologies in use in the environment.
• Understand business and functional requirements and technical documentation.
• Raise questions and ambiguities related to requirements.
• Create test requirements and test cases.
• Maintain the traceability matrix.
• Prepare and execute test data.
• Track defects and monitor them to closure.
• Escalate issues and risks to leads and managers.
• Keep test artifacts up to date in the central repository.
• Maintain good relations with the project team and peers.

What you'll need

• Solid experience in software testing.
• Experience in automation testing using any of the tools like QTP, Selenium or mobile automation tools.
• Knowledge of software testing life cycle, including test planning, test design and execution, defect management and test reporting.
• Hands-on experience in Functional, Regression, System and UAT Testing.
• Excellent defect-finding, debugging and root-cause-analysis capabilities.
• Excellent communication skills and team-handling capabilities.
• Responsibility for information security when accessing Mastercard assets, information and networks.
• Abide by Mastercard’s security policies and practices.
• Ensure the confidentiality and integrity of the information being accessed.
• Report any suspected information security violation or breach.
• Complete all periodic mandatory security trainings in accordance with Mastercard’s guidelines.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of scripting languages such as JavaScript or Python.
• Experience creating an automation framework using data, hybrid or keyword-driven methodology.
• Experience influencing and driving the test strategy for a program from a manual approach to a completely automation-based approach.
• Experience with TDD and/or BDD.
