Software Specialist (Nest Js, Typescript)

Overview

Design, develop, test, and support a microservice-based SaaS platform in Azure as a Software Engineer.

What you'll do

• Write unit tests and incorporate Test Driven Development (TDD).
• Participate in discussions to architect future solutions and choose technologies.
• Work in an Agile environment.
• Build microservices in NestJS and deploy them on Kubernetes using modern languages.
• Collaborate with the team to take advantage of new concepts and technologies.
• Contribute to technical direction and standards with engineers on the team.
• Participate in the team's goal-setting discussions with Product Management.
• Continuously groom user stories, estimate them, and identify requirements for SPIKEs (Technical Enabler stories).
• Participate in technical support activities for the platform.

What you'll need

• Strong communication skills to share and understand ideas.
• Ability to understand requirements elaborated by the Product Manager and other stakeholders.
• Strong design skills to participate in design discussions and suggest valid recommendations for a performant and secure SaaS platform.
• Strong coding skills to develop microservices using NestJS.
• Strong debugging skills to investigate support tickets and other defects in the system.
• Strong unit testing skills to write unit tests and incorporate Test Driven Development (TDD).
• Strong database knowledge in both SQL and NoSQL to optimize queries.

Nice to have

• Awareness of various services offered by Azure.
• Awareness of how Auth0 works and application configuration in Auth0.
• Awareness of API gateways such as Ambassador.
