Software Engineer II (Quality) - Consumer Intelligence & Engagement

Overview

Software Engineer II (Quality) responsible for validating AI services that power personalisation and recommendation capabilities. The role creates functional and automation tests to support reliable, personalized digital consumer experiences.

What you'll do

• Design and execute functional, integration, API, and automated tests.
• Build and maintain API, integration, functional, and end-to-end test suites.
• Partner with engineering, product, and data teams throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Validate recommendation outputs, personalisation rules, segmentation, and experimentation journeys.
• Create and manage test data and validation scenarios.
• Test experiences across browsers, devices, and digital consumer journeys.
• Use AI-assisted quality engineering tools to improve coverage, regression efficiency, and defect detection.

What you'll need

• 4+ years testing large-scale distributed backend systems on cloud-native platforms.
• Experience testing personalisation-related capabilities.
• Hands-on experience with Cypress, Appium, or equivalent tools.
• Experience with API testing and contract testing.
• Experience with test data management.
• Ability to define an A/B testing approach.
• Experience using coding agents, LLMs, or AI-assisted engineering tools.

Nice to have

• Experience with Playwright.
• Experience with BrowserStack or equivalent cross-browser testing tools.
• Experience in eCommerce, retail, or consumer digital products.
