Overview

Software Engineer III, In Test role at Mitratech focused on quality assurance and automated testing for legal, risk, compliance and HR software products within an Agile scrum team.

What you'll do

• Utilize the latest versions of the technology stack and think creatively to produce effective testing solutions.
• Produce quality, reusable and maintainable automated test code that reduces the need for manual test efforts throughout development cycles.
• Perform manual and exploratory testing against functionality developed by members of your Agile team.
• Work closely with the product manager and scrum team to help deliver high quality features within agreed timeframes.
• Provide technical mentorship and upskilling to scrum team members and across functional boundaries where appropriate.
• Consistently challenge Acceptance Criteria and Test Coverage.
• Contribute to a culture of high quality, personal ownership and customer-focused execution.

What you'll need

• 5+ years of experience in software quality assurance, both manual and automated testing.
• Expertise with automation tools and languages: Playwright.
• Expertise with automation tools and languages: Typescript.
• Experience leveraging AI-powered development tools (e.g. Claude, GitHub Copilot) to accelerate test creation and analysis.
• Command of SQL and ability to apply it for data verification.
• Exposure to API testing tools (e.g., Postman, REST Assured).
• Proficiency with modern source control (Git) and CI/CD practices.
• Demonstrated sense of ownership, taking initiative from problem identification through resolution.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts and strategic vision to diverse internal stakeholders.
• Proactive in identifying and communicating potential roadblocks, risks, and dependencies to senior leadership and relevant parties.
• Deep familiarity with Agile and Scrum methodologies and proficiency with test case management tools (e.g., TestRail).
• Education: B.E. or B. Tech.

Nice to have

• Playwright and Typescript expertise is preferred.
• ADO pipeline knowledge is a plus.
• Demonstrated experience in non-functional testing (performance, security, accessibility) is advantageous.
