Software Engineer Intern – AI & Cloud (Graduate/Master’s)

Overview

Software Engineer Intern on the WEX Technology team, collaborating with Product Managers and engineers to build scalable software and AI-driven solutions.

What you'll do

• Design, prototype, and deploy AI agents and LLM integrations to automate workflows.
• Implement production code across API design, automated testing, and CI/CD deployment.
• Translate customer needs into resilient, high-availability microservices with cross-functional teams.
• Apply TDD/BDD practices and participate in peer mentorship.
• Collaborate to continuously explore modern technologies and frameworks.

What you'll need

• Currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Proficiency in at least one server-side language (C#, Go, or Java).
• Familiarity with AI/ML concepts, LLM integration, or AI agent frameworks via coursework or personal projects (stated as a plus).
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Adaptability and a collaborative mindset.

Details

• Location: US - Remote.
• Internship program length: 13 weeks, running from late May to mid-August.
• Recruiting begins in September and continues through November.
