Software Engineer (Kotlin)

Overview

Full-time Kotlin Engineer role working on in-person payment terminal solutions using Kotlin.

What you'll do

• Build payment solutions for payment terminals.
• Enable accepting payments via credit/debit cards, Apple Pay/Google Pay, and QR codes.
• Integrate with the Adyen backend to support a unified platform solution.
• Integrate with cash registers using standards.
• Develop main business logic in Kotlin deployed on Android and Linux-based payment terminals and on the backend.
• Test code using unit tests and automated product testing with programmable robots.
• Own features end to end from design through monitoring.

What you'll need

• 3+ years of cumulative development experience in Android/Kotlin.
• 3+ years of experience in software design and development in Kotlin.
• Knowledge of databases including PostgreSQL and SQLite.
• Ability to communicate fluently in English.

Nice to have

• Experience with Kotlin Multiplatform for cross-platform development.
• Additional programming knowledge/experience in Android, C/C++, or Python.
• Card payment knowledge including EMV, ISO8583, or ISO20022.
