Overview
Software Engineer for Cisco Nexus Dashboard infrastructure, building and operating Kubernetes-based microservices that support data center management.
What you'll do
- Architect and maintain the Kubernetes-based core platform for Nexus Dashboard.
- Oversee multi-node cluster deployment lifecycle, including installation, configuration, and inline upgrades.
- Develop and support reliability and observability services like backup/restore, anomaly detection, and audit logging.
- Implement security and identity infrastructure including centralized AAA and certificate lifecycle management for cluster and microservice communications.
- Collaborate to optimize scalability and resource efficiency for platform performance.
What you'll need
- 4+ years related experience with a Bachelor’s (or 2+ years with a Master’s).
- Programming experience in Go and Python, including AI-assisted development tools for code writing, testing, and optimization.
- Experience with rapid prototyping of AI solutions and AI workflow/agent engineering.
- Experience developing, deploying, and managing microservices on Kubernetes-based orchestration platforms.
- Experience designing and implementing robust test plans for software quality, reliability, and coverage.
- Solid understanding of computer science fundamentals and aptitude for learning new technologies.
Nice to have
- Proficiency in Linux system internals including process management, file systems, and networking.
- Understanding of distributed databases and messaging systems such as PostgreSQL, OpenSearch, and Kafka.
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines.
