Overview

Software Engineer for Speechify’s Platform team, building and maintaining backend services and APIs that power text-to-speech and related product capabilities.

What you'll do

• Design, develop, and maintain robust public and internal APIs.
• Oversee the backend API landscape and optimize for performance and maintainability.
• Collaborate on B2B solutions for enterprise customization and integrations.
• Work with cross-functional teams to align backend architecture with product strategy and UX.

What you'll need

• Proven backend development experience with TypeScript/Node (required).
• Direct experience with GCP.
• Knowledge of AWS, Azure, or other cloud providers.
• Ability to ideate and implement efficiently while prioritizing by urgency and impact.

Nice to have

• Experience with Docker and containerized deployments.
• Proficiency deploying high-availability applications on Kubernetes.

• Role location: New York, NY, USA.
• Salary range: 140,000-200,000 USD/Year + Bonus + Stock depending on experience.
