Overview

Software Engineer for Research IT, building and maintaining full-stack applications and supporting backend, APIs, and databases.

What you'll do

• Develop and maintain full-stack applications using React, Java, and Spring Boot.
• Build and support RESTful APIs and backend services.
• Design and maintain PostgreSQL (and other SQL) queries for data needs.
• Collaborate with business users, product teams, analysts, and developers on requirements.
• Troubleshoot issues across frontend, backend, database, and deployment layers.
• Containerise and support applications using Docker and maintain source code via GitHub.

What you'll need

• 2-5 years of relevant experience developing and maintaining Java-based applications/solutions.
• Familiarity with Spring Data JPA, Hibernate, or similar persistence frameworks.
• Experience writing unit and integration tests.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and cloud or Linux-based environments.
• Bachelor's/Master's degree or above in Computer Science or a related discipline.
• Excellent spoken and written English proficiency.
