Overview

Director-level Java Backend Engineer role on the Institutional Securities Technology team (Prime Brokerage and Institutional Equity), focused on building scalable, high-performance enterprise backend applications.

What you'll do

• Develop and maintain software solutions that support business needs.
• Build scalable, high-performance backend systems using deep Java/Spring Boot.
• Implement microservices and REST APIs with messaging integrations (Kafka, JMS, RabbitMQ).
• Design for strong SQL, concurrency, and distributed systems.
• Own CI/CD, DevOps, and production observability practices.
• Perform performance tuning and scalability improvements.

What you'll need

• 6+ years hands-on Java development.
• Deep Spring Boot and microservices experience.
• Experience integrating REST APIs and messaging (Kafka, JMS, RabbitMQ).
• Strong SQL, concurrency, and distributed systems design skills.
• AI/agentic software development interest with hands-on exposure to LLM-integrated systems.
• Working knowledge of agentic AI frameworks (e.g., LangChain, LangGraph, Spring AI, AutoGen, CrewAI, or Claude Agent SDK).
