Overview
Software Engineer responsible for building, testing, automating, and scaling systems and end-to-end solutions for Cisco Secure Connect.
What you'll do
- Work closely with leaders in the networking industry on a high-profile project involving collaboration across business units, rapid prototyping, and integration into production.
- Solve challenging architecture problems to build scalable and extendable systems.
- Work with Cisco's cross-business units to handle Cisco Secure Connect end-to-end solutions and add new features for Secure Connect.
- Take complete ownership from conception to production release by influencing, facilitating, and working collaboratively across teams.
- Work closely with Product Managers, UX designers, and front-end engineers to develop simplified workflows for customers.
- Ensure the quality of systems by adding tests, monitoring, and alerting systems.
What you'll need
- 5+ years of experience in automation.
- Hands-on experience with Ruby on Rails, PostgreSQL, Kubernetes, ELK, Grafana, Terraform, and GIT.
- Hands-on experience with several AWS services, including RDS and DynamoDB.
- Expertise in the networking domain.
- Hands-on experience writing complex automation frameworks using Python or other scripting languages.
- Hands-on experience performing UI automation using Selenium or Robot Framework.
- Good debugging skills.
- Experience working with Azure and/or AWS cloud.
- Ability to test and automate end-to-end solutions and scale-level tests using Python or any available framework.
- Hands-on experience with automation and manual testing.
Nice to have
- Experience or willingness to work in an agile environment, including Scrum.
- Personal projects or contributions to open-source projects.
- Experience with Cypress.
- Experience with Continuous Integration (CI) systems.
- Experience with Docker and/or other container technologies.
