Software Engineer, Sr. Consultant Level (11-15 years exp, Java-Python-AWS-GenAI)

Overview

Sr. Consultant Software Engineer to architect, design, and build scalable backend systems integrating AI agents into Visa’s enterprise infrastructure.

What you'll do

• Architect and evolve an Agentic AI Platform for multi-agent orchestration and RAG.
• Design secure, scalable backend services using Java (Spring Boot) and Python (FastAPI/Flask).
• Develop RESTful and gRPC APIs connecting backend services, AI agents, and React front-ends.
• Integrate LLMs into backend systems and build/optimize RAG pipelines with vector databases.
• Lead distributed, fault-tolerant system design with Kubernetes/Docker and monitoring tools.
• Define evaluation metrics and testing frameworks for LLM/agent performance in production.

What you'll need

• 11+ years of backend software development experience with Java and Spring Boot.
• 2+ years of backend experience with Python (FastAPI, Flask, or similar).
• Production-level experience building/deploying AI Agentic solutions and integrating with microservices.
• Hands-on experience implementing LLM/GenAI/RAG systems using LangChain, LangGraph, or Autogen.
• Experience building and integrating Model Context Protocol (MCP) frameworks for interoperability.
• Proficiency in REST/gRPC API design, event-driven architectures, and message queues (Kafka, RabbitMQ).
