Software Engineer, TradeNet

Overview

Software Engineer for TradeNet, Singapore’s National Single Window for trade permit processing.

What you'll do

• Design, build, and support software products underpinning TradeNet.
• Take complex problems from an ambiguous brief to production-ready delivery, including testing, deployment, monitoring, and incident response.
• Advocate for technical proposals using data and sound judgment.
• Identify bottlenecks and improvements across systems, tooling, and ways of working, and drive changes to completion.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and non-technical stakeholders to translate trade requirements into resilient, performant systems.

What you'll need

• Have a relevant degree or diploma in Computer Science or a related field.
• Have around 3-4+ years of software engineering experience.
• Demonstrate solid engineering fundamentals across the full development lifecycle including testing, CI/CD, observability, and security.
• Have experience deploying and operating applications on cloud platforms.
• Be familiar with containerisation and orchestration.
• Have either Kotlin and ReactJS experience (full stack) or deep Kotlin and relational databases such as PostgreSQL (backend).
