Software Engineer, VP

Overview

Software Engineer role at vice president level, designing, producing, testing and implementing working software across the system lifecycle in a permanent feature team.

What you'll do

• Develop knowledge of aspects of the associated platform across business, applications, data and infrastructure.
• Liaise with principal engineers, domain architects and other key stakeholders to understand how the platform works and supports business objectives.
• Apply Agile methods to the development of software on the backlog.
• Produce resilient and long-lived software and act flexibly to cope with future needs.
• Deliver intentional architecture and formulate emergent design through innovative ideas, experimentation and prototyping.
• Design and develop software with a focus on automation of build, test and deployment activities, using executable patterns.

What you'll need

• Minimum twelve years of experience in software design and implementation.
• Proven ability to leverage modern programming languages to solve complex technical problems.
• Capability in complex requirements analysis, capture and validation against and with business and systems requirements.
• Strong hands-on experience with React, Angular, TypeScript and JavaScript, building scalable, maintainable and high-quality applications.
• Demonstrated capability in complex requirements analysis, capturing, validating, and translating business and system requirements into robust technical solutions.
• Excellent collaboration skills, with experience working closely alongside business teams to design and deliver practical, value-driven solutions aligned to business needs.
• Solid experience applying information security policies and best practices, particularly within the financial services sector.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly and simply to both technical and non-technical audiences.
