Software Engineering Lead - A&E

Overview

Software Engineering Lead is a subject-matter expert for a team of software engineers with direct reports. The role includes complex coding, directing project plans/schedules/methodologies, and leading resolution of complex software and technical issues.

What you'll do

• Serve as a subject-matter expert for a specific team of software engineers.
• Provide direction on project plans, schedules, and software development methodologies.
• Act as the initial point of escalation for software development issues in the area of responsibility.
• Interface with technical personnel to finalize requirements.
• Implement development processes, coding best practices, and code reviews.
• Resolve complex technical issues and complete complex bug fixes.

What you'll need

• 8+ years of software engineering experience.
• BS in Engineering/Computer Science or equivalent experience.
• Advanced knowledge of software development methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall).
• Strong knowledge of resource models such as Managed Services and/or Staff Augmentation.
• Test-driven development experience.
• Strong proficiency with data manipulation language and optimization techniques.
• Expertise in development languages including Java/J2EE, JavaScript, JSP, C/C++, HTML, XML, SQL, Windows/UNIX, and .Net.
