Software Engineering Senior Manager

Overview

Set and execute engineering strategy as a Senior Manager, leading teams to build and modernize software capabilities with modern technology while meeting architecture, security, and risk standards.

What you'll do

• Manage, coach, and develop teams of experienced software engineers and engineering managers.
• Ensure alignment to Banking Platform Architecture and non-functional requirements for each release.
• Partner with architects and engineers to support target architecture approaches and application migration paths.
• Act as an escalation technical representative for product cross-team efforts and scrum teams.
• Drive resolution of technology roadblocks across code, build, and deployment while managing software development cycle and security standards.
• Conduct peer reviews to evaluate quality and alignment to technical direction; guide design as needed.
• Manage people and financial resource allocation to meet commitments; conduct performance management.

What you'll need

• 7+ years of software engineering experience (or equivalent via work/training/military/education).
• 3+ years of management or leadership experience.
• 7+ years of experience and a proven record managing 25+ technology team members (desired qualification).
• Experience managing leadership/management in an IT environment.
• Hands-on full stack Java development and SQL Server database experience.
• Skills in AI technologies for designing, developing, and executing AI application implementation (stated in desired section).
• Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication across organizational lines and virtual teams.
