Overview
Sr Manager, Technical Engineering leads cross-functional product engineering delivery and operational excellence for software solutions aligned to business objectives.
What you'll do
- Coordinate Product Engineering teams to deliver functional requirements and build features to specifications.
- Provide hands-on technical leadership by architecting/reviewing complex code and debugging critical issues.
- Lead and develop 1–2 Technical Engineering Managers and their teams, mentoring software engineers.
- Drive architecture, ensure quality of design, and influence the product roadmap and new project delivery.
- Collaborate with Product, Security, Architecture, and Operations to integrate engineering execution with business outcomes.
- Define and track engineering KPIs (including deployment frequency, MTTR, test coverage, and SLA adherence) while balancing speed and quality.
- Oversee on-call incidents, troubleshoot/resolution of critical disruptions, and lead root cause analysis.
What you'll need
- 18+ years of software development experience or related engineering fields.
- 8+ years of managing engineering teams and leading senior individual contributors and managers.
- Strong hands-on experience with .NET, Java, C#, Linux Container Development, k8s, MVC, SaaS, SOA, PostgreSQL, MS SQL Server, modern JavaScript frameworks, Entity Framework, and microservices.
- Expertise architecting and delivering highly scalable, fault-tolerant SaaS-based software and cloud-native applications across AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud Platform.
- Deep operational excellence experience including advanced Dev/Ops, CI/CD, automated testing, and observability frameworks.
- Experience with observability tools such as Grafana, Newrelic, and Haystack.
- Education: BS or MS in Computer Science or related technical field (or equivalent technical experience).
