Software QA Engineer - Intermediate

Overview

Software QA Engineer (Intermediate) in the HPE Hybrid Cloud organization, focused on testing and test automation for the GreenLake cloud platform. This role is designed as onsite, with an expectation of primarily working from an HPE office.

What you'll do

• Apply knowledge of the SDLC and software testing methodology, tools, test strategy, test planning, test execution and test automation.
• Develop tools required to enhance a test automation framework, using a strong automation background.
• Program in Python.
• Apply strong system engineering knowledge.
• Apply strong knowledge of AI workflows and AI tools.
• Troubleshoot and analyze problems with strong analytical skills.
• Use tools and processes for functional, regression and scale testing.
• Use Jira, Confluence, and related software.
• Participate hands-on in Agile methodology and Scrum.
• Collaborate effectively across a geographically distributed cross-functional team.

What you'll need

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent.
• Typically 2+ years of experience.
• Python automation (must have).
• Networking concepts.
• Docker, containerization, and Kubernetes.
• CI/CD, Git/GitLab, and Jenkins.
• Linux/VM environments.
• Self-motivated, with excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Nice to have

• Storage domain knowledge of Block/File/Object.
• File system, protocols, and data path testing.
