Software & System Test Engineer

Overview

Develop and execute test plans to ensure software quality and reliability, with a focus on API, integration and automation testing of IoT cloud platform services, including validating device-to-cloud workflows in a distributed environment.

What you'll do

• Perform API and backend testing
• Execute end-to-end integration testing (device → cloud → application)
• Develop and maintain automation scripts
• Validate IoT messaging flows
• Log and track defects; work with dev teams for resolution
• Support regression and release testing

What you'll need

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field
• 3-5 years experience in software testing, including designing and executing automated and manual test cases, defect tracking, and collaborating with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment
• Experience in API testing (Postman or similar)
• Basic knowledge of test automation (Python/Java/JS)
• Understanding of integration testing / distributed systems
• Familiarity with CI/CD and Git
• Professional certification in software testing such as ISTQB Foundation Level or equivalent

Nice to have

• Exposure to IoT concepts
• Experience with cloud platforms like AWS
• Basic performance testing knowledge
