Overview
Software Test Engineer II supporting the testing and quality improvement of medical device software systems and software applications in the Endoscopy Operating Unit.
What you'll do
- Test the functionality and performance of medical device software systems and software applications.
- Develop and execute test plans and scripts designed to detect problems in medical device software systems and software applications.
- Create test reports used for regulatory submissions.
- Ensure medical device software systems and software applications meet technical and functional requirements.
- Perform workflow analysis, document test results and recommend quality improvements.
- Work with development to resolve software defects and diagnose and improve product configuration for current and future models.
- Review test automation frameworks, tools, techniques and methodologies.
- Manage completion of own work assignments and coordinate work with others.
- Identify and encourage areas for growth and improvement.
- Continue to strengthen industry knowledge and use that knowledge to improve product quality.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
What you'll need
- Bachelor’s degree in computer engineering, Computer Science or a related technical field with 5+ years of engineering experience.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in embedded and software system testing.
- Strong understanding of embedded systems hardware and software architectures.
- Familiarity with programming languages C and C++.
- Experience with scripting languages for test automation, such as Python.
Nice to have
- Experience in the medical device industry or other regulated industries.
- Experience with test case management software tools.
- Experience with developing and maintaining automated testing systems.
- Experience with testing software-controlled hardware devices.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience with Agile development methodologies.
- Experience with Security and Risk analysis.
