Software Test Engineer II - Pega

Overview

Software Test Engineer II (P2) to independently perform quality checks and functional testing for enterprise applications, including manual and automation.

What you'll do

• Perform independent quality checks and validate functional testing quality and performance.
• Write test cases from requirements and user stories and perform manual testing as needed.
• Create test plans and test cases and load them into appropriate tools.
• Coordinate testing and evaluation to identify issues, trends, and gaps.
• Develop test plan and strategy with the testing lead, including test scope and test data needs.
• Update daily testing metrics and share results with the QA Lead.
• Run regression tests to verify bug fixes and prevent impact to existing functionality.

What you'll need

• 5-8 years of experience testing Enterprise applications.
• Exposure/knowledge of automation for backends and/or UI.
• Working knowledge of functional and API testing (REST & SOAP).
• Strong knowledge of Java (preferred) and Python (additional).
• Exposure to test automation tools such as Selenium and Postman.
• Knowledge of version control systems such as Git.
• Experience using defect tracking tools like Jira.
