Sourcing and Procurement Analyst (Strategic Sourcing)

Overview

Sourcing and Procurement Analyst supporting strategic sourcing, market intelligence, spend analytics and contract management within WPP's procurement function.

What you'll do

• Analyze spend data and create internal and external category profiles, market intelligence reports and opportunity assessments.
• Devise category strategies and identify sourcing levers for respective market categories.
• Analyze costing for a product or service.
• Conduct structured supplier negotiations and execute contracts with suppliers in coordination with legal teams, managing statutory compliance and sustainability requirements.
• Execute projects through the GEP Source to Contract platform.
• Perform procurement risk, governance and compliance activities and support procurement operational activities.
• Manage contract extensions and renewals, spot buys, tactical sourcing, tail spend and buying channel optimization.
• Analyze buying patterns and volumes to determine the appropriate buying channel, such as catalogue, P-card or PO purchase.
• Manage day-to-day procurement activities, workloads and priorities, coordinate with the team, and escalate and report to the sourcing and procurement manager regularly.
• Collect, communicate and document requirements from stakeholders, and engage internal and external stakeholders to a high standard.
• Support the Team Lead in managing agreed objectives and deliverables, providing timely updates until project closure.
• Provide specialist administrative support across tendering and RFP projects, keeping an audit trail and required documentation in place.
• Respond professionally and efficiently to stakeholder clarification questions and other enquiries.

What you'll need

• Proficiency in strategic sourcing and procurement methodology and process.
• Experience working on Source to Contract platforms.
• Demonstrated ability to devise and provide insight on spend categories and supply markets based on internal and external category profiles.
• Strong procurement operational skills, legal understanding and RFI/RFP activities.

Nice to have

• Experience working in reputed S2C platforms, specifically GEP S2C.
