Specialist

Overview

Carrier's global sourcing organization needs a Specialist to drive cost savings and supplier value creation across the Plastics, Rubber & Insulation categories.

What you'll do

• Lead strategic sourcing, supplier development, and productivity initiatives across Plastics, Rubber & Insulation categories by identifying cost optimization opportunities, mitigating supply risks, and improving supplier competitiveness.
• Drive RFQ execution, supplier negotiations, contract evaluations, dual-source qualification, cost modeling, and category strategy development to support annual productivity and business objectives.
• Develop category intelligence, spend analytics, market assessments, and executive-ready presentations to support sourcing decisions, supplier performance reviews, and leadership governance.

What you'll need

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, Supply Chain, Materials Science, Operations, Business Administration, or related field.
• 7-8 years of experience in Strategic Sourcing, Procurement, Supplier Management, Commodity Management, or Supply Chain Analytics.
• Experience sourcing plastic resins, molded components, rubber products, elastomers, foams, insulation materials, or related indirect/direct materials.
