Specialist, Market Operations

Overview

Provide frontline operational support across the Coinbase Derivatives Exchange (CDE) and Deribit, keeping trading, clearing, and connectivity systems healthy for clients and internal stakeholders on a 24/7 team.

What you'll do

• Own real-time functional and technical support for electronic trading, clearing systems, and exchange applications across CDE and Deribit.
• Investigate and resolve customer inquiries related to exchange functionality, market events, connectivity, product schedules, and business technology.
• Provide front-line support for internal and external investigations tied to exchange operations, including error trade analysis and resolution.
• Coordinate with product and development teams to launch new products, implement platform updates, and execute deployment testing in pre-production environments.
• Support onboarding and ongoing operational enablement of clients and vendors across both exchanges, including prediction markets and event contracts listed on CDE.
• Identify, document, and recommend operational process improvements aligned with business objectives and platform growth.

What you'll need

• BA/BS in Information Systems, Economics, Finance, or a technical field.
• 1+ years of experience in financial markets operations or a technical operations role.
• Demonstrated product and operational knowledge of listed futures or options, including hands-on experience with error trade analysis and resolution.
• Proven ability to diagnose and articulate complex technical problems and solutions to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Experience delivering multi-channel support (voice, email, chat) with documented ability to maintain quality under high-volume, time-sensitive conditions.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with prediction markets, event contracts, FIX protocol, network protocols, SQL, or CRM tools such as Salesforce and JIRA.

• Remote role in the USA; the company is remote-first but not remote-only.
• Expect to get together quarterly for in-person working sessions called "surges."
• Team runs 24/7.
• Annual base salary range (excluding equity and bonus): $112,965 to $132,900 USD.
