Sr. AI Engineer 4B

Overview

As a Forward Deployed Engineer on Genpact's Applied AI team, you will embed with strategic enterprise customers to ship production AI applications that solve business problems. You will own workstreams end-to-end, from understanding client workflows and designing solutions through building, demonstrating, deploying and handing off production software.

What you'll do

• Build production applications inside customer systems with Claude and other frontier models to meet customer requirements.
• Deliver technical artifacts including agentic workflows, MCP servers, sub-agents, agent skills, evaluation harnesses and integrations with the client's stack.
• Own workstreams end-to-end across discovery, architecture, build, demo and handoff.
• Make real-time trade-offs between scope, speed and quality.
• Co-design solutions with client stakeholders at the Director and VP level.
• Turn client direction into shipped code by the end of the day.
• Provide white-glove deployment support inside enterprise environments.
• Identify and codify repeatable deployment patterns.
• Contribute reusable assets, including code, prompts, skills, runbooks and reference implementations, to the Genpact Applied AI practice.
• Stay current with LLM capabilities, agent frameworks and the AI product development stack.
• Bring field insights to product and partner teams.

What you'll need

• Experience in a technical, customer-facing role such as Forward Deployed Engineer, Solutions Engineer, Solutions Architect, or software engineer with consulting experience.
• Former technical founders are strongly encouraged to apply.
• Daily, hands-on working fluency with Claude or a comparable frontier LLM as a build tool, not as a chatbot.
• Production experience with LLMs, including advanced prompt engineering, agent development, evaluation frameworks and deployment at scale.
• Strong programming skills in Python.
• Experience shipping production applications.
• A track record of shipping something a customer or end-user actually paid for, used or measured, such as a product, internal tool, notable open-source project or demo that closed a deal.
• Ability to hold your own in client conversations with senior stakeholders without a PM translating.
• High agency and comfort navigating ambiguity in complex organizations and turning vague business problems into concrete technical plans.
• High cooperation mindset and ability to balance competing priorities across customer teams, Genpact delivery and partners with integrity.
• English language proficiency at the proficient C2 level.

Nice to have

• One or more of TypeScript, JavaScript, Java or SQL.
• Domain depth in a regulated industry such as life sciences, financial services, healthcare or insurance.
• Hands-on experience with MCP, agent frameworks such as Claude Code, Cursor or LangGraph, evaluation tooling or LLM observability.
• Background in a top-tier product, startup, frontier-lab or consulting environment, or a credible self-built equivalent.
• Experience operating in hybrid onshore/offshore delivery teams.
• Familiarity with security, privacy and compliance considerations for enterprise AI deployment.
