Sr Associate Software Engineer, AI Studio (Full Stack)

Overview

Sr Associate Software Engineer (Full Stack) for Amgen’s AI Studio, building and owning defined full-stack production components and vertical slices for enterprise AI applications and automation products.

What you'll do

• Own defined production components and vertical slices across enterprise AI applications.
• Translate well-scoped requirements into reliable software and coordinate across adjacent teams.
• Define component boundaries, acceptance criteria, and non-functional requirements.
• Design and implement accessible, responsive UI components and secure sessions.
• Build APIs, services, background jobs, data models, queries, migrations, and integrations.
• Integrate LLMs, embeddings, vector search, RAG, and agent tools with validation, human control, and evaluation.

What you'll need

• 5 to 9 years of Computer Science, IT, or related field experience (Bachelor’s/Master’s degree).
• Independent full-stack product engineering for a production frontend-to-backend component or slice.
• Hands-on proficiency in JavaScript or TypeScript.
• Experience with at least one backend language (Python, Java, C#, or Node.js) plus SQL.
• Ability to design, build, release, monitor, diagnose, and maintain a production slice with limited guidance.
• Demonstrated ownership of at least one production frontend/backend/API/data/integration/automation/AI-enabled component.
