Sr. Data Scientist – Data Sciences & Artificial Intelligence

Overview

Senior AI Data Scientist for Amgen’s Global Supply Chain team in India, building and deploying advanced AI/ML and GenAI solutions for clinical and commercial supply chain processes.

What you'll do

• Prototype AI solutions by translating business and scientific concepts into working code.
• Develop AI/ML and Generative AI models using techniques such as LLMs and foundation models.
• Integrate AI capabilities into supply chain applications, APIs, workflows, assistants, and automation platforms.
• Own end-to-end AI and data science deliverables from problem framing through validation and deployment.
• Create technical documentation covering design choices, data flows, and implementation details.
• Evaluate emerging AI technologies and recommend options based on value and fit.
• Translate inputs into Agile-ready features, user stories, and acceptance criteria.

What you'll need

• 5+ years building and applying AI/ML, Generative AI, analytics, automation, BI, and data visualization for supply chain use cases.
• Hands-on experience creating GenAI/LLM applications such as chatbots and copilots.
• Experience with AI orchestration/application frameworks including LangChain or LangGraph (or similar).
• Knowledge of AI agent architectures, orchestration patterns, Responsible AI, model validation, and enterprise AI governance.
• Strong development skills with Python, AI/ML and data science libraries, APIs, and SQL/NoSQL databases.
• Ability to use data pipelines and modern application development practices.
