Sr Engineer AI Platform

Overview

The AI Platform Sr Developer designs, builds, tests, deploys, and supports reusable enterprise AI platform capabilities that enable AI solution teams to adopt approved patterns for model access, experimentation, orchestration, retrieval augmented generation, observability, security controls, and integration with enterprise systems.

What you'll do

• Develop and maintain reusable AI platform services, APIs, SDKs, and automation patterns.
• Implement complex integrations with approved LLM services, AI gateways, orchestration frameworks, vector/search services, and enterprise identity patterns.
• Build and support CI/CD, infrastructure-as-code, automated testing, telemetry, and operational runbooks for AI platform components.
• Partner with architecture, cybersecurity, data, privacy, and solution delivery teams to ensure platform capabilities meet enterprise controls.
• Troubleshoot incidents, reliability issues, performance bottlenecks, access issues, and environment defects across development and test environments.
• Document platform patterns, onboarding guidance, reusable components, and developer enablement material.

What you'll need

• University or College education in Computer Science, Engineering, Data/Analytics, Business/Technology, Risk/Governance, or related field; equivalent experience considered.
• 6-8 years of experience in building backend services, APIs, automation, cloud-native applications, or platform services.
• Hands-on experience with Python and modern software engineering practices.
• Experience with Azure, Azure DevOps or GitHub Enterprise, CI/CD, containers, Infrastructure as Code, logging, monitoring, and secure development practices.
• Strong collaboration, documentation, problem solving, and operational support skills.

Nice to have

• JavaScript/TypeScript or Java/.NET experience is an asset.
• Exposure to LLM application patterns, RAG, prompt orchestration, vector search, model evaluation, and AI observability is preferred.
