SR Engineer – IT EIS DBS ORACLE

Overview

SR Engineer responsible for Oracle Database administration and production support for Oracle 19c/26ai environments, including RAC, Data Guard, backups/recovery, and database migrations.

What you'll do

• Administer Oracle Database in production support and operational environments.
• Perform database installations, upgrades, migrations, cloning/refresh, and patching.
• Troubleshoot Oracle RAC and Grid Infrastructure components (Clusterware, OCR, Voting Disk, ASM, SCAN listeners).
• Manage backup and recovery using Oracle RMAN, including validation, restores, PITR, and DR testing.
• Handle performance tuning and troubleshooting using SQL tuning and performance report analysis (AWR/ASH/ADDM).
• Administer Data Guard/Active Data Guard, including switchover and failover activities.

What you'll need

• Minimum 7 years hands-on experience in Oracle Database Administration and production support.
• Experience administering Oracle Database 19c with exposure to Oracle 26ai.
• Hands-on support for Oracle RAC clusters of 2, 3, 4, and 5 nodes.
• Experience with Oracle RMAN backup and recovery strategies, including PITR and DR testing.
• Strong troubleshooting across CPU, memory, storage, I/O, network, and OS-related performance issues.
• Experience with automation and scripting using Shell Scripting, Python, Ansible, or similar tools.
