Custom Software Engineer

Overview

As a Custom Software Engineer, you will handle Oracle DBA responsibilities to support data warehouse (DWH) production and non-production databases, ensuring availability, performance, and data integrity.

What you'll do

• Perform Oracle database administration across Dev, Test, and Production environments.
• Monitor database health, capacity, and performance with regular health checks.
• Manage backup and recovery using RMAN and support restore activities.
• Handle user management, roles, privileges, and database security.
• Perform SQL and performance tuning, including AWR/ASH analysis.
• Apply patches, PSU updates, and minor upgrades as per the change process.
• Troubleshoot production issues and provide L2/L3 DBA support using ITIL processes.

What you'll need

• Minimum 3 years of experience in Oracle Database Administration (DBA).
• Hands-on experience with Oracle DBA (19c).
• Strong knowledge of RMAN backup and recovery.
• Understanding of SQL/PL SQL.
• Experience in performance tuning and troubleshooting.
• Working knowledge of Unix/Linux commands.
