Sr Engineer, It Eis Storage

Overview

Sr Engineer for IT/EIS storage, responsible for designing, engineering, and operating storage and backup solutions.

What you'll do

• Define, design, engineer, and implement storage and backup hardware and solutions.
• Gather customer requirements and propose, engineer, and provision storage and backup solutions.
• Manage system setup and standardization of storage features and usage.
• Provide 24x7 on-call technical support and expertise for customer issues and escalations.
• Troubleshoot storage problems and perform root cause analysis.
• Plan, coordinate, and upgrade SAN/NAS/TSM/Cohesity components as needed with software, hardware, and microcode updates.
• Participate in business continuity planning and disaster recovery, including documenting DR procedures and executing DR drills.

What you'll need

• At least 8+ years of experience managing storage solutions.
• Experience managing NetApp Cluster Mode in NAS and SAN configurations.
• Experience with ISILON storage.
• At least 2 years of working experience in IBM Spectrum Protect (TSM) and Cohesity data platform.
• Hands-on knowledge of NetApp cloud deployment such as FSX, CVO, CVS, and ANF across AWS, Azure, and GCP.
• Knowledge of Cisco SAN switch configuration and support (e.g., Virtual SAN, fiber channel zoning, LUN masking, HBA configuration).
• Strong understanding of OSI model and storage transport protocols such as NFS and iSCSI.
