Sr Engineer / Lead Engineer - Paint Simulation

Overview

Sr/Lead Engineer role focused on paint process and simulation (CFD) for automotive electrocoat and related paint shop studies.

What you'll do

• Perform electrocoat thickness prediction.
• Conduct fluid access and drainage studies and oven bake simulation.
• Run special simulation studies for chronic paint shop process problems.
• Provide continuous process improvement ideas and implement them with the team.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to apply API-based customization and AI methodologies in CFD.
• Represent paint simulation in relevant forums and attend global product development councils/technical meetings.

What you'll need

• 6+ years of paint process and simulation experience from automotive OEMs/engineering organizations.
• Good knowledge of fluid mechanics, heat transfer, and CFD concepts.
• Experience handling large-scale CFD datasets and doing feature engineering from flow fields.
• Sound knowledge of StarCCM+ / ALSIM, Teamcenter, AutoCAD, and MS Office.
• Skills with CAE/FEA tools such as Hypermesh 2025 and ANSA.
• Good knowledge of AI technologies and algorithms, with ML frameworks like PyTorch/TensorFlow preferred.
