Sr Engineer, Software

Overview

Senior Software Engineer role within the Device Systems Software Engineering organization at Baxter, building new or enhanced software products and supporting risk and reliability competencies.

What you'll do

• Apply a solid understanding of System Engineering practices and theories/practices in Risk Management toward the development of new or enhanced Software products or processes.
• Support the advancement of Risk and Reliability competencies and execution across the Device Systems Software Engineering organization.
• Develop and design front end web architecture and ensure the responsiveness of applications.
• Collaborate with the UI/UX team.
• Work across both front end and back end programming.

What you'll need

• B.E./B.Tech. in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering or related field.
• 5-9 years experience.
• Knowledge of front-end technologies including VueJS, CSS3, JavaScript, and HTML5.
• Understanding of object-oriented PHP programming.
• Experience with Docker, Helm Charts, Container, Cloud Computing.
• Experience with C#, .NET Core – API Development, Performance improvement.
• Strong in PostgreSQL Database performance analysis and SQL/PostgreSQL performance tuning.
• A solid technical understanding of the principles and procedures of software engineering (e.g., SDLC, IEC 62304, CMMI, Agile).
• Experience with software application architecture design and optimization.
• Be passionate about software quality and be prepared to advocate on behalf of good processes and best practices.
• Ability to discuss normally encountered technical or project management issues, both verbally and in written form.
• Experience with medical device or other regulated software engineering disciplines (e.g., software development environments, configuration management tools, code inspection techniques and tools, testing methods and test management tools).

Nice to have

• MongoDB, Redis Cache, DevOps knowledge.
• Unix Scripting knowledge, MQTT, Keycloak.
