Sr Software Engineer [.NET]

Overview

Senior .NET Software Engineer role based in Bangalore to work on Notified's Public Relations platform, designing, coding and building multi-user web applications for a global market.

What you'll do

• Design and develop modern, high-performing, scalable web applications.
• Review business requirement documentation and help the team break it down into user stories for the team backlog.
• Create and maintain technical specifications.
• Develop user stories using C#.NET Web APIs, Node.js and SQL Server database schemas, following best coding practices and writing unit tests.
• Perform code review.
• Maintain, support and enhance existing systems and platforms.
• Actively participate in the implementation, operation and troubleshooting of new cloud-based and cloud-hosted services.
• Actively participate in building and improving continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD) processes.
• Participate (virtual or in person) in Scrum team planning meetings.
• Participate in the continuous improvement of Agile and DevOps culture and engineering best practices.
• Monitor system performance and create highly scalable and operable systems.
• Independently and jointly develop solutions to complex problems.

What you'll need

• Degree in computer science or comparable qualification.
• 5+ years of professional experience as a .NET software engineer.
• Expert experience writing secure APIs, microservices, reusable components and modules.
• Good understanding of .NET web application development, build and deployment.
• Good understanding of front-end technologies such as JavaScript, TypeScript and associated frameworks such as Angular (preferred), React or Vue.
• Good understanding of Azure or AWS (Amazon Web Services) application development services.
• Good understanding of Node.js.
• Very good spoken and written English.
• Practical experience applying agile methodologies (e.g., Scrum).
• Responsible, independent and solution-oriented working style based on an overall understanding of the problems.
• Collaborative working habits that accelerate the team.

Nice to have

• Relevant certificates.
• Experience developing enterprise-scale, multi-user applications.
• Solid understanding of designing and optimizing Web APIs for large-scale usage.
• Experience in MVC.NET web-based application development using Microsoft .NET Core, Standard and/or Framework with C#, including Dependency Injection, Object-Relational Mapping (ORM) frameworks, IIS hosting, and SQL Server schema creation and query optimization.
• Experience in serverless architecture, design and development using AWS services.
• Experience in Apache SOLR.

Details

• Based at The Leela Office, 4th Floor, Airport Road, Kodihalli, Bangalore - 560008.
• Expected to work from the office on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays, with flexibility to work from home on Mondays and Fridays.
