Sr. Engineer, TSE-SIG, Mechanical

Overview

Lead mechanical design, development, validation, and lifecycle support for semiconductor manufacturing and test equipment. Own complex projects and collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams, suppliers, and manufacturing partners.

What you'll do

• Design mechanical assemblies, frameworks, fixtures, and subsystems.
• Create 3D CAD models, detailed drawings, BOMs, and engineering documentation.
• Perform stress, vibration, thermal, airflow, and tolerance analyses.
• Drive designs from requirements through prototyping, validation, release, and sustaining support.
• Support prototype builds, debugging, qualification testing, and deployment.
• Analyze failures, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions.
• Mentor junior engineers and lead complex mechanical projects.

What you'll need

• 6+ years of mechanical design and product development experience.
• BS or MS in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Proficiency with 3D CAD tools such as SolidWorks, Creo, or NX.
• Experience designing electro-mechanical systems.
• Knowledge of GD&T, tolerance stack-up analysis, and manufacturing processes.
• Experience supporting prototype builds, testing, and qualification activities.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Nice to have

• Semiconductor or automated test equipment experience.
• Experience with sheet metal, machined parts, weldments, castings, or plastics.
• Knowledge of thermal management, airflow design, FEA, or reliability methodologies.
• Familiarity with automation, robotics, motion control, mechatronics, or Python scripting.
• Experience with global engineering teams and external suppliers.
