Sr Hardware Engineer – PCB/System Design

Overview

Lead hardware engineering for next-generation routing and switching platforms, taking products from concept through production. The role focuses on PCB/system design, lab validation, cross-functional technical leadership, and product sustaining.

What you'll do

• Own technical deliverables and documentation for networking products.
• Review schematics, bills of materials, placement, routing, lab results, and compliance results.
• Develop design specifications, release PCB Gerbers and bills of materials, and perform bring-up and testing.
• Perform design validation testing, fault analysis, and new-part qualification.
• Lead collaboration with cross-functional teams and external suppliers.
• Design and verify CPLD and FPGA logic.
• Provide product sustaining support.

What you'll need

• 10+ years of experience.
• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Electronics and Telecommunication or Electrical Engineering.
• Experience taking product platforms from concept to production.
• Proficiency in high-speed board design, bring-up, and debugging.
• Experience with DDR-4, DDR-5, PCIe, SPI, XGMII, XFI, and XAUI buses.
• Strong lab skills with high-end test and measurement equipment.
• Experience with CPLD and FPGA design and verification.

Nice to have

• ME/M.Tech qualification.
• Working knowledge of EMI, EMC, safety, and environmental compliance for telecom systems.
• Industry contacts related to current trends, best practices, and innovations.

Details

• Hybrid role requiring an average of 2 days per week from an HPE office.
• Location: Bengaluru, Karnataka, India.
