Overview
Sr Manager, IMSC Information Architecture Deliver (located in India) responsible for establishing and overseeing information architecture as a strategic capability for FAIR and AI-ready, trusted, reusable data across IMSC deliver functional domains.
What you'll do
- Design and implement end-to-end FAIR and AI-ready data assets across master, transactional, operational, and analytics layers.
- Lead conceptual and logical information modelling to ensure consistent business meaning, reuse, and clear ownership.
- Define and apply information architecture principles and standards across metadata, taxonomy, semantic modelling, ontology, and business glossary.
- Build and connect a business context layer linking data, knowledge, metadata, taxonomy, ontology, and semantic relationships.
- Partner with Data Owners, Data Governance, Data Operations, and J&J Technology to govern and translate models into scalable data assets.
- Provide information architecture oversight via reviews and drive adoption through guidance, playbooks, and education.
- Lead ontology and knowledge graph implementation and pilot AI-assisted/agentic AI for metadata and modelling workflows.
What you'll need
- Experience in pharmaceutical/healthcare/life sciences/supply chain/manufacturing/quality or other regulated data environments.
- Knowledge of data management and information architecture standards and practices including FAIR and industry standards (e.g., IDMP, ISO, data mesh, domain-driven design, semantic layers, knowledge graphs).
- In-depth experience in information architecture/data architecture/data modelling or data management with conceptual and logical modelling across complex domains.
- Strong understanding of FAIR data principles and data product design across master, transactional, operational, and analytics consumption layers.
- Experience with data catalogues/metadata repositories/business glossaries/ontology tools/semantic layers/knowledge graph technologies or comparable capabilities.
- Familiarity with tools/platforms including Alation, Databricks, Neo4j, TopBraid, SAP S/4HANA, SAP BDC, or comparable technologies.
- Ability to collaborate in a federated operating model with Data Owners, Data Governance, Data Operations, and delivery teams.
