Sr. Manager, Software Engineering (12-15 years exp at least 2 years as a manager; GenAI, Java, Python, GoLang)

Overview

Sr. Manager, Software Engineering to lead multiple engineering teams delivering modern, large-scale services—focused on GenAI and integration patterns for Visa’s Value Added Services (VAS) platform.

What you'll do

• Spearhead design, development, and implementation of innovative technologies including generative AI.
• Champion API design that integrates VAS applications, platforms, and solutions.
• Develop and execute a strategic vision for the VAS platform aligned to business goals.
• Own end-to-end software development lifecycle for secure, high-performing solutions.
• Hire, retain, and develop diverse global engineering teams and mentor engineers.
• Oversee daily operations including budgeting, planning, delivery tracking, and performance metrics.

What you'll need

• 12+ years of relevant work experience.
• Hands-on experience with generative AI and machine learning.
• Experience building microservices using HTTP, REST, JSON, and XML.
• Proven experience delivering enterprise-level distributed applications using Java, Python, C#, or Golang.
• Strong knowledge of Agile methodologies and the software development lifecycle.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple competing priorities.

• Work mode: Hybrid; expected in office 2–3 set days/week (at least 3 days) with a general guidepost of 50% or more in office.
