Sr Manager, Software Engineering

Overview

Senior Manager role in software engineering, managing multiple projects through direct reports and setting operational targets that drive delivery and engineering KPIs.

What you'll do

• Manage multiple projects through direct reports and directly manage individual software development projects.
• Ensure project delivery through supervision of costs, methods, and staffing.
• Set operational targets that impact the group and drive operational rigor around engineering KPIs such as unit test coverage, uptime/resiliency targets, and execution velocity.
• Be responsible for the delivery of projects and continuous improvement that impact up to three domains.
• Lead the effort in resolving highly complex or unique technical situations that impact business success or address future concepts, products, or technologies.
• Create the roadmap for multiple scrum teams.
• Turn a high-level operational strategy into a well-defined resourcing plan.
• Demonstrate perseverance in pursuing difficult, complex, or ambiguous goals or problems, applying advanced analytical thought and judgment.
• Collaborate with the direct team, managers in the org, stakeholders, managers in other orgs, and business stakeholders.

What you'll need

• 8+ years relevant experience and a Bachelor's degree, or any equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience leading others.
