- Co-own technical strategy and architecture governance with Staff Engineers, defining multi-quarter platform direction, introducing ADRs, design reviews, and tech radar mechanisms, and reducing technical debt at scale.
- Partner with Product and Design leadership to co-own planning, shape roadmaps, manage trade-offs, and translate business priorities into engineering strategies communicated in customer and revenue terms.
- Drive operational excellence by establishing and monitoring SLOs, incident response health, on-call load, MTTR trends, and postmortem quality.
- Design and evolve team topology by defining team structures, interfaces, and operating cadences including quarterly planning, tech councils, and review forums.
- Champion AI and automation adoption across engineering teams by identifying where AI agents, developer tooling, and process automation unlock leverage and reduce toil.
