Sr Manufacturing Engineer – Sourced Hardware

Overview

Senior Manufacturing Engineer to manage and coordinate delivery projects within the Supplier Performance & Execution Sourcing Section, owning the technical performance of an assigned supplier base.

What you'll do

• Organize and coordinate multi-functional teams to execute product delivery improvements.
• Support the Sourcing team and suppliers to resolve technical issues.
• Provide expertise to the team on manufacturing processes.
• Act as the manufacturing engineering focal for the assigned supplier base and own the technical performance of multiple suppliers.
• Proactively identify delivery barriers and resolve them with fulfilment, commercial and quality team members.
• Act as a Project Manager for large complex suppliers along with others.
• Guide and influence supplier performance based on manufacturing expertise.
• Actively drive cost reduction efforts within the assigned supply base.
• Participate in supplier selection based on value, partnering with commercial owners.
• Support source changes as needed and develop lower performing suppliers.

What you'll need

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college, or a high school diploma / GED with a minimum of 4 years of experience in Manufacturing.
• At least 10 - 15 years of experience in Manufacturing, Engineering or Production Management.
• Manufacturing expertise across multiple related part families and processes, with deep domain expertise.

Nice to have

• Expertise in programming or mechanically supporting traditional (milling, turning, broach, weld) and/or non-traditional (EDM, 3D printing) machining methods.
• Sourcing, Shop Operations, or Production Control expertise.
• Manufacturing experience in Aerospace or Automotive.
