Sr. Network Engineer

Overview

Q2 is seeking a Sr. Network Engineer to independently design, implement, and troubleshoot complex network solutions in enterprise environments, contributing to planning, performance optimization, and secure configuration while mentoring junior team members and contributing to strategic initiatives.

What you'll do

• Design and implement network solutions within a complex infrastructure
• Administer network services and ensure optimal performance
• Analyze, debug, and resolve network traffic and connectivity issues
• Evaluate and integrate new technologies into the environment
• Document technical processes and infrastructure changes
• Provide support during network-related incidents and upgrades
• Ensure security compliance and maintain documentation standards
• Participate in 24x7 on-call rotation

What you'll need

• Typically a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field and a minimum of 5 years of related experience; or an advanced degree with 3+ years of experience; or equivalent related work experience
• Advanced knowledge of routing, switching, firewalls, and VPN technologies
• Experience with Cisco ASA Firewalls, load balancers (F5, A10), and cloud networks
• Expert understanding of core networking technologies including BGP, EIGRP, and Cisco routing and switching infrastructure (IOS / IOSXE / NXOS / ACI)
• Strong diagnostic and log analysis skills
• Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a high-pressure environment
• Effective communicator with cross-functional teams
• Documentation and procedural development experience
• Fluent written and oral communication in English

Nice to have

• Certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or equivalent
