Network Engineer

Overview

Thales is looking for a Network Engineer to maintain and administer company computer networks, network hardware, software, and related systems.

What you'll do

• Maintain computer networks, hardware, software, and other related systems.
• Perform disaster recovery operations.
• Protect data, software, and hardware from attacks.
• Replace faulty network hardware components when necessary.
• Work closely with network users to identify potential issues and fix existing problems.
• Implement, administer, and troubleshoot network infrastructure devices, including wireless access points, firewalls, routers, switches, and controllers.
• Create accurate network diagrams and documentation for designing and planning network communication systems.
• Provide specific detailed information for hardware and software selection.
• Learn new or unfamiliar technology and products using documentation and internet resources.
• Perform network switches and firewall upgrades.
• Coordinate with the IS team to remediate vulnerabilities on time.

What you'll need

• 4-5 years of experience.
• Bachelor degree in information technology or equivalent.
• Strong understanding of network infrastructure and network hardware.
• Ability to think through problems and visualize solutions.
• Ability to implement, administer, and troubleshoot network infrastructure devices, including wireless access points, firewall, routers, switches, and controllers.
• Knowledge of application transport and network infrastructure protocols.
• Ability to work with all levels of staff within and outside of IT and outside the organization.
• A self-starter able to work independently but comfortable working in a team environment.
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Dependable and flexible when necessary.
• Network security experience.
• LAN and WAN experience.
