Sr. Principal Product Manager

Overview

Lead product management for Twilio’s internal Developer Platform, including foundational services, APIs, infrastructure, developer experience, and operational capabilities. Define the strategic roadmap and drive a shift from reactive support to proactive, self-service platform experiences.

What you'll do

• Define and drive the multi-quarter platform roadmap.
• Establish paved roads and service catalogs for self-service.
• Partner with Engineering, Architecture, and Security leaders.
• Improve APIs, SDKs, and sandbox environments.
• Establish KPI dashboards for adoption, support deflection, and reliability.
• Translate developer interviews and usage data into product priorities.
• Align stakeholders on platform, deployment, tooling, and developer experience plans.

What you'll need

• 12+ years of product management experience building large-scale cloud services platforms.
• Experience building cloud-native commerce systems for usage-based and metered products at very large scale.
• Track record of delivering ambitious customer and business outcomes.
• Experience driving major organizational change while remaining hands-on.
• Strong executive communication and influence skills.
• Data-driven, outcomes-oriented problem-solving approach.
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or equivalent experience.

Nice to have

• Experience with Kubernetes, microservices, CI/CD, and observability frameworks.
• Experience with developer portals, golden paths, documentation-as-code, DORA metrics, or platform adoption analytics.

Details

• Remote role in the United States.
• Approximately 15% travel anticipated.
• Not eligible for hiring in the Bay Area or Seattle area.
• Estimated annual pay ranges from $233,100 to $304,600, varying by listed location.
