Overview
Lead the development and continuous improvement of enterprise content creation capabilities within Takeda’s global Content Innovation ecosystem. Own the day-to-day product lifecycle, translate business and platform priorities into requirements, and drive delivery across stakeholders, vendors, engineering and dependent platform teams.
What you'll do
- Develop and articulate product vision, strategy and roadmap.
- Translate platform priorities into executable product requirements and define product offerings in terms of benefits, features and customer journeys.
- Prioritize roadmap features with business stakeholders, platform leadership, vendors and development teams.
- Write and manage backlogs of epics, features and user stories to achieve business goals.
- Evaluate and define requirements, including business needs, dependencies, acceptance criteria and expected outcomes.
- Ensure teams correctly understand requirements and clarify requirements throughout implementation.
- Collaborate with business, engineering, platform teams, vendors and other stakeholders across the content ecosystem.
- Align timelines, dependencies and scope with the scrum master, engineering manager, Platform Manager, vendors and dependent teams.
- Participate in Agile delivery ceremonies, including scrum calls and sprint reviews.
- Drive cross-platform dependencies and alignment across authoring, DAM, MLR, taxonomy/metadata, integrations and downstream capabilities.
- Build stakeholder and platform-user relationships, gather needs and feedback, facilitate decisions and manage expectations.
- Act as the day-to-day product contact and drive topics from business need through evaluation, requirements, delivery and adoption.
- Interface with external technology vendors, translate business needs into vendor requirements, and drive vendor actions, functional issues and roadmap discussions to resolution.
- Understand vendor product roadmaps and identify opportunities relevant to Takeda’s platform strategy and user needs.
- Define release priorities, dependencies, functional readiness and acceptance criteria.
- Partner with engineering and platform teams on CI/CD practices, release readiness and business dependencies.
- Support releases through functional validation, stakeholder readiness and communication.
- Collect and address user feedback, conduct performance audits and stress tests, and address reliability and user-experience issues.
- Monitor platform usage, adoption, user feedback and product performance indicators.
- Maintain product, process, user and maintenance documentation and provide training and support materials.
- Drive operational issues and improvement opportunities to resolution and support rollout and adoption across markets and business units.
What you'll need
- Bachelor’s, Master’s or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field.
- 5+ years of relevant progressive experience.
- Proven experience as a Product Owner or in a similar product management role.
- Strong understanding of Agile methodologies.
- Knowledge of requirements definition and analysis, design thinking, customer experience, backlog/epic/story management, Agile SDLC and DevOps tools and methodologies.
- Experience with enterprise SaaS/platform product ownership, business and stakeholder management, external vendor management, cross-platform dependency management, product adoption and continuous improvement.
- Ability to independently drive complex topics across business and technology teams.
- Excellent communication, presentation and leadership skills.
- Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to roll up one’s sleeves to get the job done.
- Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams in a matrix organization.
- Ability to work autonomously, take ownership of ambiguous topics and drive them through to resolution.
- Ability to translate business needs for technical delivery teams and communicate effectively with stakeholders at different organizational levels.
Nice to have
- Experience in Shaman is strongly preferred.
- Experience in Anthill Activator and Arcane as Viseven eWizard is good to have.
- Experience with Veeva Vault PromoMats and Aprimo is preferred.
- Experience with digital health products or in the healthcare sector is a plus.
- Experience in life sciences marketing/content operations is strongly preferred, including understanding of the end-to-end promotional content lifecycle covering content creation, DAM, MLR review and approval, metadata/taxonomy and omnichannel activation.
- Hands-on experience with enterprise content platforms such as Shaman, Veeva Vault PromoMats and Aprimo is highly desirable.
- Experience working directly with external technology vendors is strongly preferred.
