Overview

Sr Product Software Engineer I (Full-Stack Senior Software Engineer) for Disney’s Ad Platform Engineering, working on scalable microservices and user interfaces for real-time digital advertising systems.

What you'll do

• Design, build, and support scalable microservices and user interfaces using Java and modern front-end frameworks.
• Collaborate with product, UX, and engineering peers to deliver user-centric advertising features.
• Translate user stories into engineering tasks with ownership from development through deployment.
• Mentor teammates through code reviews, documentation, and informal guidance (no direct reports).
• Improve observability by implementing metrics, monitoring, and alerting solutions.
• Participate in on-call rotations and practice operational excellence.
• Use automated tools (AI) while adhering to company policy.

What you'll need

• 5+ years of hands-on software engineering experience.
• Proficiency with Java and related frameworks such as Spring Boot and ORMs.
• Experience with ReactJS or modern JavaScript frameworks (Vue/Angular) and willingness to learn new technologies.
• Strong background in relational databases including schema and query design (MySQL/Postgres).
• Experience with RESTful APIs, microservices, and distributed systems.
• Strong foundation in computer science principles including data structures and algorithms.
