Sr. Security Data Engineer & Developer, Security Data Platform

Overview

Senior Security Data Engineer and Developer responsible for designing and operating information and database security solutions. The role provides database security expertise to business, technology, risk, and compliance teams.

What you'll do

• Design, develop, test, document, monitor, and implement information and database security solutions.
• Provide database security guidance and analysis to business, operations, development, risk, and compliance teams.
• Manage a database activity monitoring platform for security and audit compliance.
• Create policies and analyze events and trends within the database activity monitoring platform.
• Monitor platform performance and maintain its infrastructure.
• Develop and maintain standards, guidelines, and procedures for database hardening.
• Enhance controls and procedures to prevent unauthorized data use, release, modification, or destruction.

What you'll need

• Strong technical experience in cybersecurity, insider threat, incident response, security operations, or a related information security field.
• Experience in database security, data loss prevention, data security, encryption, insider threat, network security, PKI, security analytics, or related fields.
• Degree or equivalent work experience in computer science, information security, cybersecurity, engineering, mathematics, information technology, statistics, data science, or a related field.
• Experience with database security solutions and database activity monitoring.
• Experience with security automation through scripting or programming.
• Ability to communicate technical findings and security risks clearly to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Ability to lead complex efforts and provide technical direction to peers.

Nice to have

• Experience in the banking or finance industries.
• Certifications such as CISSP, CISA, CISM, CEH, GCIH, GSEC, OSCP, Security+, or related certifications.
