IT- Sr Systems Engineer

Overview

Sr Systems Engineer responsible for supporting and improving Windows and Linux compute farms across on-premises and cloud environments.

What you'll do

• Provide day-to-day support for Windows and Linux compute farms.
• Support system upgrades, workload migrations, acceptance testing, and maintenance.
• Resolve R&D user issues involving compute farms, storage, and networking.
• Improve user productivity and farm resource utilization with R&D teams.
• Automate repetitive activities.
• Share knowledge with IT teammates and cross-functional peers.
• Work with global teams across different time zones.

What you'll need

• 6–8 years of professional Information Technology experience.
• A four-year degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent education or work experience.
• Experience administering Windows and Linux systems.
• Knowledge of Linux, LSF, Slurm, Elastic Search, Jenkins, and related operating-system technologies.
• Scripting and DevOps skills for automation.
• Hands-on experience troubleshooting user issues in a compute farm.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.

Nice to have

• Experience in the EDA industry.
• Knowledge of CPU and memory internals and processes.
• Experience with hybrid cloud computing architecture.
• Virtualization and cloud knowledge.
