Sr. Systems Engineer

Overview

Sr. Systems Engineer for Dexcom’s Systems Engineering team in India, shaping system requirements and verification for diabetes management systems in a fast-paced, agile environment.

What you'll do

• Independently develop, analyze, and manage system/subsystem requirements from user needs and product vision.
• Use GenAI tools (e.g., Gemini) to generate, refine, and manage SRS, design specifications, and traceability matrices.
• Define and implement requirements traceability strategies using Jama Connect for end-to-end linkage to verification.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop test plans/test cases and oversee verification activities.
• Contribute to risk management activities (e.g., FMEAs) aligned to ISO 14971 and related standards.
• Mentor junior engineers and participate in design reviews and technical discussions.

What you'll need

• 5+ years of related experience (or 3+ years with an advanced degree) in systems engineering.
• Proven experience in requirements engineering, V&V, and system integration for complex products.
• Proficiency using GenAI tools (e.g., Gemini) for documentation generation, requirements analysis, and traceability management.
• Experience with requirements management tools such as Jama Connect and familiarity with ALM tools like Jira, TestRail, and GitHub.
• Experience with medical device regulations/standards including FDA QSR and ISO 13485, plus IEC 62304 and ISO 14971.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and technical writing skills for clear documentation.

Nice to have

• INCOSE Associate or CSEP certification, or any Requirements Engineer certification.
• Experience with mobile app development (Android/iOS) and/or BLE architecture.
• Experience leading small project teams or technical initiatives.
• Advanced prompt engineering skills for GenAI tools.
