Sr. Software Engineer

Overview

Senior Software Engineer (Full Stack, .NET and Angular) at Allegion India, working with a cross-functional team to design, architect, build, deploy and maintain software solutions for Allegion's Americas IT business.

What you'll do

• Design, develop new solutions and enhance existing solutions with new features and quality improvements.
• Work closely with front office delivery and global digital groups to understand requirements and translate them into elegant implementations.
• Set up and follow standards, practices and processes to ensure high code quality of deliverables.
• Conduct peer reviews for code and design.
• Contribute to design and architectural solutions for new developments.
• Execute technical solutions throughout all phases of the SDLC.
• Work collaboratively across multiple business units and architectural teams to ensure stakeholder needs are acknowledged and requirements are included in the backlog.
• Manage and complete significant projects involving multiple components and subsystems.
• Relate to others, demonstrate resourcefulness and flexibility, actively participate in decision making, assess risk and act with a sense of urgency.
• Communicate effectively through written, verbal and presentation skills, clearly articulating ideas and concepts.
• Be self-directed and able to direct others.

What you'll need

• 5+ years of experience with full stack development.
• Experience designing and working on SOA and REST based architecture.
• Excellent skills and experience with C#, .NET Core, Entity Framework and web standards.
• 5+ years of experience in front end development using Angular/React.
• 2+ years of design and development around Microsoft Azure.
• Strong skills in software design, design patterns and asynchronous programming.
• In-depth knowledge of REST services such as Web API.
• Knowledge of cloud: AWS, Azure or GCP, and willingness to learn different cloud technologies.
• Experience creating applications with .NET Core and familiarity with .NET Framework.
• Experience with unit testing frameworks on Angular such as Karma, Jasmine or Jest.
• Excellent understanding of NPM modules and demonstrated contributions to NPM packages.
• Excellent in DB layers connecting SQL Server and Cosmos DB.
• Development experience defining, developing and maintaining service based architectures.
• Knowledge of deploying products leveraging Continuous Integration (CI) and Continuous Delivery (CD).
• Experience in Agile with Scrum delivery models.
• BE or M Tech in Computer Science Engineering or relevant field.
• 5 to 8 years of experience in software application development.

Nice to have

• Experience using Codeium, Open AI or similar tools.
• Experience working with large datasets, including data integration, analysis and visualization.
• Experience integrating with ERP systems like Oracle or Microsoft Dynamics.
• Experience in event driven design and implementation.
• Knowledge of cloud infrastructure, setup and configurations.
